‘Fit for Work’ Service Pilot Application Successful
The Improving Health, Increasing Employment Board (IHIE) Project Board has worked with the City Region to form the Birmingham, Coventry, Sandwell & Solihull Commissioning Partnership (BCSSP) chaired by Dr Richard Mendelsohn in order to progress an application to the Department of Health for funding to become a Pilot Project delivering the Fit for Work service, a key element within Dame Carol Black’s report.
The newly formed partnership includes representatives from Job Centre Plus, NHS Primary Care Trusts, and the Learning and Skills Council. A preferred provider has been selected to deliver the service. The project team was interviewed by the Department of Health and the Department for Work and Pensions on the 11th September.
The Board would like to thank all our partners for the hard work and enthusiasm displayed throughout this process, and a particular thank you to Elaine Russell and the rest of the bWell team.

‘Working for Wellbeing’ invites mental health service users and the general public to plan and lead events that help change the misconceptions around mental health.

bWell Community Road Show
The bWell Community Road Show was launched to raise local awareness of the health services and leisure activites available to promote mental and physical wellbeing in communities across Birmingham.
Come along to bWell's Road Show taking place on the following dates:
Wednesday 3rd March, 10 - 2pm, Hawksley & Primrose Community Centre, Kings Norton
Wednesday 10th March, 10 - 2pm, Ladywood Health & Community Centre
Wednesday 17th March, 10 - 2pm, Shard End Community Centre
Wednesday 24th March, 10 - 2pm, 610 Youth & Community Centre, Kingstanding
There will be FREE Massages and Nail Technicians available at each of the above events!

bWell Employers Networking Meeting
bWell's employer networking meetings are a 'must' for employers who want to improve mental health and wellbeing in their workplace. This is a great opportunity to meet with other employers who are dealing with similar issues and similar challenges on a regular basis. Come along and discuss; share; ask questions or simply just listen! Each meeting is based on a different theme. The content will be informative and topical and is designed to equip you with the knowledge and practices that can only have a positive impact on you and your business.
