The Relationship between heel spurs and plantar fasciitis

A pointed bony outgrowth felt at the back of the heel, beneath the sole of the foot or under the heel is known as a heel spur. Heel spurs are known to cause a lot of pain based on where they are located. For example, a heel spur located under the sole of the foot is normally associated with the condition known as plantar fasciitis which occurs due to inflammation of the plantar fascia which is the tissue in the foot that connects the front of the foot to the heel and provides support for the foot.
