Part one: Positive mental health in the workplace
People who feel supported by their employers and are happy and satisfied at work, are
likely to be more productive, take less time off sick and stay with the organisation longer.
There's lots of things you can do to support mental health at work - many of which are easy to put into practice. All of the suggested actions are based on general principles of
good management, as well as evidence of what works well.

Part two: Positive recruitment practice
One in four people will experience mental health problems at some point in their
life. As an employer, this means that a quarter of your workforce and customer base
will be affected by mental ill health.
There are many benefits in recruiting people with experience of mental health problems such as; accessing a wider labour pool, reducing sickness absence and creating a better
understanding of your customers.

gauge the success of our programmes and publicise bWell.
If you select the 'keep me informed' option, we will be happy to send you information
on training and other opportunities you may find useful.
